Movement Monks teach a movement system based on strength, balance and relaxation. Diversity, complexity and activity between disciplines is in the core of their system. To bring their philosophy to people we developed a design influenced by eastern culture based on hand-drawn symbols and fonts.
Logo done by Georg Koytek and Nathanael.design. A tai chi pose in hand-drawn style represent the eastern influence of their teachings and stand for movement and flow.
Black and white are the base colours. A light blue complements the minimalistic scheme to add dynamic and identify the site being in the health and sports genre.
Kuashe is a beautiful pencil font face used for the main menu, headlines and hightlights. For me the light strokes embody movement and lightness. Open Sans acts as the main typeface as it’s super-readable and modern.
